Ditch 13 Trip Feb 4, 2017 to Vero Beach Wetlands

We had an amazing trip to the Vero Beach Wetlands (West Regional Water Treatment Facility) today. Thanks so much to the everyone who came out and joined us. Here are some of the pictures I took today. Also, check out my 8 am blog to see today's picture of the day!

A Sandhill Crane posed nicely for me.
The Sandhills don't appear to be nesting yet, but they have nested here in the past.
This Mockingbird was ever so photogenic.
A while back, a friend was looking for a photo of a Mockingbird for an educational project, and I couldn't find a one in my thousands of photos. Now that I don't need a picture, they seem to be coming out of the woodwork to pose for me!
White Ibises. I think they are just one of the prettiest birds.
I thought this one looked like he was smiling.
I especially love their big blue eyes.
And I really love how they stand out against the water and plants.

Thanks again to all the folks who came out on the trip with us today, we hope you enjoyed it as much as we did, and hope to see you out there again soon. And as always, thanks so much to Nick at Ditch 13 Gallery and Gifts for helping to promote our tours.  Please visit her web site, and when you are in Fellsmere, make sure you stop by, it's a super little shop with lots of cool local books, art, and gifts.
