North County Regional Park Cardinals

I wound up using a Blue Jay for 8 a.m. blog today, but I also got some fun shots of a Cardinal. Click photos to enlarge:

I like the way the light hit his eye in this one.

You can see he's a tad disheveled.

The poor guy was singing his little heart out trying to impress girls. His singing was better than his looks.

He posed nicely for me, looking straight into the camera with his tail splayed.

And all that singing sure worked, this female came into check out the little crooner.
