More insects

Seems like I'll never run out of stuff to take pictures of for my daily blog. Yesterday I got some really cool bee pictures, but alas, they were beaten out for my blog of the day by a baby Mockingbird. But here are some of the rejected pictures from yesterday and a few rejected ones from today as well. Click to see the photos full size. Some are pretty cool if I do say so myself.

Apis mellifera, aka Western Honeybee. Not to be confused with Honeybee.

Camponotus floridanus, aka Florida Carpenter ant. Here's a really cool article about some research on them.
